friends: We love you.
others: We love you.
boy/girlfriend: I love you.
paranoia: They’re lying, they’re just using you. No one loves you. You’re ugly. Everyone hates you. They all talk behind your back. You are unloved.
This is exactly what it is like to live with a mental illness, most notably depression or anxiety. If you can relate with this, you may be living with a mental illness and not even be aware of it!
